The newly constructed terrace called for a high-quality, durable flooring solution. The decision was made to install the 20mm porcelain paver ‘Mood 02’ in a large 800x800mm format, which would create a bold, contemporary look. This particular porcelain paver features a cementitious finish, beautifully blending the industrial aesthetic with more organic, natural elements. The cementitious look perfectly complements the mix of hard surfaces and lush, evergreen foliage from the planters bordering the terrace.
To achieve the desired finished floor height, height-adjustable self-levelling supports were utilised, allowing the floor to be raised by up to 100mm at the deepest point. This innovative support system ensured the terrace surface remained perfectly level (laid to fall), even across uneven subfloor conditions. The use of these adjustable supports also provided the flexibility to accommodate any slight variations in the underlying structure, guaranteeing a flawless, uniform appearance for the porcelain paver installation.
Overall, the choice of Mood 02 porcelain pavers, combined with the height-adjustable self-levelling supports, resulted in a stunning commercial raised access external floor.
