Just a stones throw away from Trafalgar Square is Oceanic House: A grade II listed building which was formerly the headquarters for White Star Line – the company that built the RMS Titanic.
The 30,000 square foot building has been developed into beautiful exclusive residential homes with décor inspired by the style of the golden age of transatlantic liners.
Up on the 6th and 7th floor, the luxury apartments boast superb views across London via their private roof terraces. The terrace floors were refurbished with the Levato Mono TeknoTimber ‘timber-effect’ porcelain tiles. These 20mm thick, ribbed tiles provide the apartments with excellent slip resistance and a durable surface for safety under foot.
To raise the floor and provide each terrace with appropriate water drainage, Surface 360 placed each TeknoTimber tile atop their self-levelling, height adjustable pedestal support system. To cater for the floor falls and uneven substrate – and create a perfectly levelled floor – the team utilised their SL2 – SL7 pedestal ranges, providing them a choice of height increase between 50mm – 275mm.
Altogether Surface 360 installed a total of 280m² of their paving tiling. The 6th floor terrace is now covered in a beautiful dark oak timber-effect floor, while the 7th in a more neutral silver oak finish.
