As space is premium in the capital, this London apartment utilised every square metre of their terrace area to its absolute best. Situated in the sort after area of Highbury, Surface 360 were commissioned to create a clean contemporary terrace space with a high end finish using our larger format Levato Mono Paving Tiles.
The existing square format, tired-looking paving tiles had to go. The Surface 360 team then tackled the extremely uneven substrate so each 20mm porcelain paving tile will lay flat and true on the penthouse balcony.
To help ‘iron out’ the remaining imperfections of the substrate, the team utilised their self-levelling pedestal support system which provided the perfect base structure for our porcelain tiles.
To provide the beautiful modern-look, the client opted for our Levato Mono Sanctuary tiles. Its hyper-realistic stone-effect surface and luxurious crème finish gave the apartment a new lease of life for its new décor and complimentary terrace furniture.
Unlike the original small square format tiles, the new 600mm x 1200mm large format paving tiles create a more seamless and elongated look, providing less shadow gaps and joins.
The new Sanctuary tiling doesn’t just offer the apartment great styling. It is also very practical. The Sanctuary range boasts a high slip resistant surface with an R11 (A, B & C) Classification, which has been tested to the UK recognised, German National Standard of slip resistance flooring. Plus porcelain is a very low maintenance material, easy-to-clean, resistant to mould and extremely durable – giving the apartment a great, long lasting finish.
