Lidl Headquarters Northfleet
Lidl Headquarters Northfleet. Across the country in the Gravesham Borough of Kent, the team supplied and installed our 20mm porcelain paving tiles in Northfleet for the Lidl Headquarters.
Paving across multiple outside spaces circa 130m², the team set out covering the original concrete substrate using the Levato Mono Industrial 03 paver range. Industrial 03 is a medium cementitious effect tile range, which is inspired by urban style trends providing a project with a stunning cement/concrete finished surface but with all the benefits of porcelain.
Before any paving tile installation took place, the team measured and plotted the positions of our self-levelling, height adjustable paving support pedestals. Creating a raised floor with pedestals allows for adequate drainage beneath the tiles while the self-levelling component helps produce a perfectly levelled surface on top of a slight inclined substrate.
For added protection to the pedestals, a 6mm thick, high-density sound suppressant pad was installed under each pedestal base. Not only does this pad not interfere with the drainage system underneath but it also reduces any echo or audible sounds that may occur when pedestrians walk across the new floor.
Once both the sound suppressant pads and the pedestal supports were installed, the 600mm x 600mm paving tiles were installed in place to create the raised floor. The team also battled with a few obscure objects such as structural columns and drainpipes, which required precision cutting to create a flush finish.
